On May 26, the BJAST International Forum Session V of "The Coronavirus Pandemic & Global Changes" held on platforms of bilibili and Huya. The lecture was hosted by Li Junkai, Director of Foreign Cooperation Division of BJAST. Professor Jiang Fei, President of the School of International Journalism and Communication of Beijing Foreign Studies University, was invited to make an in-depth interpretation on "How to Analyze the Global Communication Ecology in the Post-Epidemic Era".

Jiang Fei is Vice-Chairman of the Global Communication and Public Diplomacy Association of The Chinese Association for History of Journalism and Mass Communication and Secretary-General of the branch of Foreign Journalism History, who has been committed studying the field of global communication and public diplomacy for a long time. At the lecture, Jiang Fei analyzed the source, essence and the three international communication waves. He put forward the vision of a community with a shared future for global communication ecology in the post-epidemic era. Besides, he pointed out that China's international communication is in a new stage of narrating a good story of the world from the perspective of peace and cooperation.

The lecture was watched and widely praised by more than 53,000 people online. After listening to the lecture, they all have benefited a lot from it, not only they got to understand the complicated transmission phenomenon during the outbreak, but also gained a clearer understanding of the ecological pattern of global communication and the development history of international communication in China. Follow-up series of lectures are wanted in the future.

This lecture is the International Forum Session V of "The Coronavirus Pandemic & Global Changes" series, which were jointly published by BJAST and the Cambridge China Centre. There are nine sessions all together, which will be broadcast every Tuesday at 20:00, from April 28 to June 23. Various experts and scholars from China, UK, Canada, Germany, Japan and other countries will be invited to make profound interpretation and share their brilliant opinions on the impacts caused by COVID-19 on economy, technology, industry and mental health. The Phase VI will be held at 20:00 on June 2. Professor Fan Hengshan, famous economist and former Deputy Secretary-general of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), will be invited to give a lecture on "Promoting China's Economic Development towards a Positive Direction with the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 on a Regular Basis".
