On February 25, the fourth edition of Beijing Daily published an article entitled Intellectual of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, Science Innovation Era-----Promoting the Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region through Scientific and Technological Innovation of Beijing Academy of Science and Technology.

On February 26, 2014, General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed a major national strategy for the Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. Over the past five years, BJAST has taken the initiative to set an example, earnestly studied and implemented Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech to Beijing. In accordance with the decision-making arrangements of the municipal Party Committee and government, it has taken the construction of a collaborative innovation community as its main starting point, coordinated the construction of the "Six Centers" and "Three Platforms" of the whole academy’s resources, deeply participated in the comprehensive innovation reform experiment of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, vigorously promoted scientific innovation and scientific popularization, and created a new situation in which science and technology support the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
