From November 24 to December 2, Beijing Planetarium led 8 middle school students from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Hubei provinces to participate in the 14th Asian Pacific Astronomy Olympiad (APAO 2018) held in Lijiang, Yunnan Province. 36 teenage astrophiles of 5 teams from different countries and regions took part in the competition.

Finally, the students completed the competition and achieved excellent results. The only 2 gold medals in the competition were all won by the Chinese team, who also won the first place in the senior group and the first place in the junior group. The rest of the students obtained four 4 medals, 2 bronze medals and the best observation award.
