On December 25, BJAST held a Summing-up Meeting on Big Data Technology and Urban Governance Training in California State University, Long Beach, the USA. President Guo Guangsheng and Vice President Liu Qingjun attended the meeting.

Group leader, Liu Tong, made a report on strengthening the consciousness of data-driven scientific research paradigm and other aspects. Group members reported learning experience and gain. Liu Yanjun, Liu Tong and Liu Jianbing, were elected by voting within the group as the outstanding students, Guo Guangsheng and Liu Qingjun issued certificates to the outstanding students. The group reached a number of exchange and cooperation intention agreements with foreign experts in the training.

Guo Guangsheng praised the training and pointed out that the overseas training is an important measure to expand the international vision of talents and improve the talent quality. The training work in BJAST should focus on key areas, make the high-quality curriculum, expand partners widely, actively explore training projects cooperating with countries along “the Belt and Road”, jointly connect the alliance cooperation platform of scientific research institutes in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, make full use of the advantage of social resources and improve the influence of the training work.
