On December 13, BJAST held the Inaugural Ceremony of “Health Collaborative Innovation Center of Biomedicine and Nutrition” and the Signing Ceremony of Strategic Cooperation. Experts including Cong Bin, member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of Jiu San Society and Vice President of Hebei Medical University attended the meeting. Guo Guangsheng, President of BJAST, Fang Li, Secretary of the Party Committee, Shao Jinwen and Yao Weihan, Vice Presidents of BJAST attended the meeting.  

Guo Guangsheng pointed out that the center was established by integrating the health technology resources of biomedicine and nutrition of Beijing Institute of Nutritional Resources (BINS) and many second-level units, which is the fifth academy-level research center established by BJAST. It is committed to research and development of health technology, products and services and makes great efforts to build a domestically leading collaborative innovation center integrating government, industry, education, research and application in the health field with the core of biomedicine and nutrition. The center will focus on the following works: firstly, to be the highland for the research and development of technological products in the health field of biomedicine and nutrition in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region; secondly, to be the gathering platform of high-end talents and industrial resources in the health field of biomedicine and nutrition in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region; thirdly, to be the booster for the transformation of technological achievements in the health field of biomedicine and nutrition in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Cong Bin, Sun Baoguo, Zhang Zhiqiang, Zheng Huanmin, Guo Guangsheng and Fang Li unveiled the plate for the Health Center of BJAST. Fang Li issued the letters of appointment to the members of the Director’s Office Meeting of the health center of BJAST. Guo Guangsheng issued the letters of appointment to members of the Academic Committee.   

After the meeting, BINS signed the strategic cooperation agreements with Chinese Nutrition Society and other companies respectively.
