• 2018 “Night at the Museum • China and Africa” Unveiled the Curtain

  • On August 10, “2018 Night at the Museum • China and Africa”, a large-scale non-profit science popularization activity organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and BJAST and undertook by Beijing Museum of Natural History was unveiled.

    At the opening ceremony, Wang Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of BJAST, stressed in the speech that strengthening China-Africa scientific and cultural exchanges and mutual learning, promoting the integration of science, technology and culture and propelling common progress are the needs for Beijing to implement the functional positioning of the “four centers” and build a world-class harmonious and livable city. BJAST is willing to establish close scientific and technological ties with African countries and regions, conduct connecting in personnel exchanges, scientific research cooperation, scientific communication and other aspects to make greater contributions to China-Africa solidarity, cooperation and development. She invited Mr. Masood Khalid, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Mr. John Aquilina (Zhuo Jiaying), Ambassador of Malta to China, Mr. Elia g. Kaiyamo, Ambassador of Namibia to China and Mr. Gao Zhiyong, Vice Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality to jointly launch the opening ceremony of “2018 Night at the Museum • China and Africa”.

    In the Sunshine Hall, “2018 Night at the Museum • China and Africa” kicked off surrounded by the melody of Jasmine Flower played by the Blue and White Porcelain Band, and the first “Museum Cultural and Creative Carnival” was also held at the same time.
