• The Sixth China-Europe Risk Forum Successfully Held

  • On November 28-30th the Sixth China-Europe Risk Forum was successfully held in Beijing. The forum was themed as “Emerging Risk and Resilience”, mainly held by Beijing Municipal Institute of Labor Protection and EU-VRi European Virtual Institute for Integrated Risk Management, EU-VRi, co-organized by Emerging Risk Research Institute of The North China University of Technology, Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies Group, R-Tech.

    President Guo Guangsheng pointed out that BJAST put city security and governance as one of our main innovation directions, developed a batch of new technologies and achievements including city infrastructure risk management, co-built “Integrated Innovation Center for Public Safety” with Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies Group, R-Tech., effectively improving the level of social management and social services.

    Aleksandar Jovanovic, the CEO of the EU-VRi said that EU-VRi, R-Tech and BJAST and its secondary institute Beijing Municipal Institute of Labor Protection have established the Germany/Europe and China new collaborating model. From now on, we will continue to enhance the cooperation with Chinese institute in the field of risk and make greater efforts to ensure the safe operation of our cities.

    12 domestic experts including President Ding Hui of the North China University of Technology and 11 foreign experts including Aleksandar Jovanovic, the CEO of the EU-VRi have make presentations in the forum. A total of 100 people coming from institutions, universities and insurance companies attended the meeting.
